Abstract

This research tried a digital mapping of the whole urban area of Hiroshima City using the aerial photographs of Hiroshima City just before and after the atomic bombing photographed by the U.S. army. In these three dimensional digital maps, distribution map of damage, figures of each house, rigid buildings, roads, rivers, bridges and railways are displayed. These information were reconstructed by using GIS(Geographic Information System).
